Submitting orders

Orders must be submitted in Smartship self-service environment by selecting Posti - Parcel Connect Baltics as a service. When submitting returns, Posti - Parcel Return Connect service must be used.

It is also possible to submit orders to SmartPosti through automatic data exchange.

Handing over parcels to SmartPosti

There are 3 possibilities.

  • Through parcel terminal: Parcels can be handed over from blue parcel terminals with personal door code.

  • With courier: When order is placed in SmartShip self-service environment, „Book pickup“ option has to be activated. To order pickup via e-mail, order must be sent to kuller@smartposti.com with subject „Parcel Connect collection.“ Collection order has to contain name of the company, exact address, phone number, expected quantity of parcels and the preferred timewindow for collection, which must be at least 2 hours. SmartPosti carries out pickups from Monday to Friday. The order submission time for same-day pickup from Tallinn and the immediate vicinity of Tallinn (~10 km) is 12:00 at the latest. Collections of orders that have arrived later and collections outside of Tallinn or its immediate surroundings will take place on the following working day or, if possible, on the day of placing the order (working day).

  • Bringing the goods to SmartPosti terminal: Jälgimäe tee 13 B, Tänassilma küla, 76406 Saku vald, Harjumaa (loading slot no. 61B, trailer/tail-lift loading slots no. 63 – 64) Mon – Fri from 09.00 – 17.00.

Delivery process

Parcel Connect shipments are delivered to parcel terminal, pickup point or via courier. If specific parcel terminal or pickup point is not defined, shipment will be delivered to nearest destination based on recipient`s address.

When parcel arrives to parcel terminal or pickup point, recipient is notified via e-mail and SMS. Parcel that is not picked up by the recipient within the specified time or if delivery has been unsuccessful will be returned back to sender. For returns, invoice is issued to sender. Parcel storage period is 7 days after recieving the first arrival notification.

Returns

Returning of the parcel is possible by using the return label included in the package or by contacting sender, who can provide the return label.  

Parcel Return Connect service must be used for returning.

Parcel can be returned from a parcel terminal or pickup point. Return parcel needs to be registered in advance.

Description

Home Delivery

Home delivery is an additional service where shipment is delivered to the customer's door. The service includes one delivery attempt.

Paid by other than sender

The payer must have a Posti or SmartPosti customer number.

Oversized

Allows to send an oversized parcel with maximum dimensions of 200 x 120 x 80 cm and girth of up to 360 cm (girth = longest side + 2 x width + 2 x height).

COD (Cash on delivery)

Recipient pays for the goods after receiving payment link. Sender pays for shipping and COD additional service fee. SmartPosti transfers COD amount back to account specified by sender.
